In the Spotlight : Emily Verheijen, founder of EV Carshop

Who are you and what drives you?

I am Emily Verheijen, the founder of EV Carshop which is a leasing broker and EV chargepoint installer based in Buttermarket, Thame. From day one I have been driven by a mission to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and dedicated to simplifying the road to zero emissions for our customers – whether for personal or business use. We have already advised multiple businesses in and around Thame and are excited about helping other local businesses and organisations on the road to zero who are looking for support, guidance and expertise.

Tell us about your business?

EV Carshop supports consumers with cars, chargers and expert know how. We also support businesses with commercial transitions. Reduced whole life costs, multiple tax incentives and growing government pressure from initiatives such as clean air zones represent a key driver behind the ever-increasing uptake rates of electric vehicles. We offer expertise on models and suitability and arrange leasing for fleet vehicles, company cars and salary sacrifice. Our charging solutions (home, workplace and public) provide support from survey to solution design, installation to management and maintenance – We offer our clients end to end support which is often needed in this new world of electrification.

What do you love about being based Thame?

It has been a real privilege to serve and work amongst the communities and businesses of Thame over the last few years. We believe there is nowhere more enjoyable to work than this vibrant and historic town. The support we have received has been unmatched, the interest and enthusiasm for electrification tangible across generations and industries. We consider ourselves very lucky to be a part of this community, to be of service and pursue progress in all its forms.

  1. It’s great to have EV Car Shop here in Thame and thanks too Emily for the support you give to Thame Green Living, including last year’s Thame Drive Electric event. Hope we will have you on board for this year’s event planned for 10th September 🙂
